With gratitude to our brewery and winery patrons, and happiness in our hearts, we are formally announcing the closing of Sans Soucy Vineyards and Staunton River Brewing Co. Since 2008 we’ve been fortunate to have so many people drive off the beaten path seeking out our Brookneal tasting room/taproom. We would like to thank our awesome crew of regulars- many of whom are now like family- for making SSV & SRBC your weekend hangout.
As many of you know, we’ve been trying our best to balance business life with family life- primarily, Reese’s ongoing cancer treatment which began just a few months before opening the brewery. She’s doing incredibly well as she continues her battle, but after her relapse, we knew we’d sacrifice the brewery for more time with her. As we come to the finish line of what we hope will be her last round of treatment in a few weeks, we are choosing to celebrate and begin a new chapter- one we hope will be filled with a lifetime’s worth of fun memories with her. Likewise, Paul and Jackie are also ready to make the most of each day, and spend more retirement time at the beach, visiting the grandkids, and RVing- instead of tending to grapes!
We look forward to seeing many of your faces on the river, by the pool, and at local watering holes including those owned and operated by our friends at @Hunting Creek Vineyards in Clover, @Bright Meadows Farm in Nathalie, @The Homeplace Vineyard in Climax, @Buggs Island Brewing in Clarksville, and the soon to be open @Factory Street Brewing Co. in South Boston.
Cheers from The Anctils!!!
