FAQ:
Where is the festival located?
The Shrimp and Wine festival is located on the property of Sans Soucy Vineyards amongst the vines, in Brookneal, Virginia.
Where do you get the shrimp?
The shrimp is harvested the morning of the festival at Guthrie's Sugar Hill Sweetwater Shrimp Farm, only one and a half miles from the vineyard in Brookneal. Shrimp will be available for purchase to be enjoyed at the festival and/or to take home. Empty coolers may be brought for storage and transportation of shrimp/food. Coolers will be inspected at the entrance for outside food and drink.
What does the ticket price include?
Your ticket price includes a souvenir wine glass from the Shrimp and Wine festival, wine tastings from all 5 wineries and live music and entertainment from 12-6pm. $1 from each ticket purchased will benefit The Little Mended Hearts of Lynchburg. What wineries will be at the Festival?
Bright Meadows Farm Winery, DeVault Vineyards, Hickory Hill Vineyards, Hunting Creek Vineyards and Sans Soucy Vineyards.
Will the Famous BlackBerry Ginger Sangria be available at the Festival?
But, OF COURSE!! As always, our Sangria is available by the glass or pitcher. Also available will be chocolate shots and wines by the glass or bottle from all participating wineries.
What type of food will be available for purchase?
Melrose Bison Farm, Epicurean On-the-Go, and Guthries Shrimp Farm will all be offering local Virginia eats. All food will be available for purchase.
Can we bring our own food and drink?
No. Due to insurance reasons, no outside food or drink will be allowed on the property for this event. Coolers will be inspected at the gate.
Are children allowed at this event?
YES! Children and pets are always welcome at Sans Soucy Vineyards events. There will be fun activities geared for the little ones!
Is Parking free? Yes! Parking is free!
Is overnight stay available?
Parking of self contained RV's or camping is available on the property. Unfortunately there are no facilities available, but we do have really big trees!!!!!! :) There are various B&B's in the area. For more information: sanssoucyvineyards.com : EAT, PLAY, STAY.
